The Bangabandhu-Bapu digital exhibition opened to the public today at the Shilpakala Academy in Bangladesh.

Education Minister Dipu Moni attended the opening as the main guest while State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid and Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami were honored guests of the program, a reported today a press release from the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.

The Indian High Commission, in association with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the Shilpakala Academy, is hosting the exhibition and will remain open to everyone from tomorrow to October 11 next month, the statement said.

The exhibition, in a unique and thematic way, celebrates the life and heritage of the fathers of each of the two nations, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Mahatma Gandhi.

The exhibition was specially organized by the two governments to commemorate Mujib Borsho and to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, as well as the golden jubilee of India-Bangladesh bilateral relations, the statement added.

The exhibition was virtually opened by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 16, during the India-Bangladesh Virtual Summit.

The exhibition includes unique and personalized technological features to make the experience more immersive.

After October 11, the exhibition will also be shown in Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna and Kolkata.

This unique digital exhibition was specially organized by Birad Yagnik, curator of the Mahatma Gandhi digital museums.

Previously, this exhibition was also on display at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi from December 16, 2020 to January 31 of this year.
