I know a little about Nick de la Hoyde, but the biographical information I received with this single suggests it got considerable radio coverage here in Australia and overseas as well.
His songs have already been played on SiriusXM, BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM (UK, AU) and on Asia Pop, KMFM and many more.
Given the quality of this single, I understand why.
Devotion is a classy pop song that was co-written by Nick alongside his brothers Joseph and Timothy.
It’s a lush production full of strings and horns with Nick’s filtered vocals hovering over impressive settings and production techniques.
The brothers also recorded and produced the single, so it’s a family affair.
Devotion is a love song about what happens when you meet that “special” person.
Nick explains: “It’s so easy to get carried away with the future. Ambitiously pursuing goals so hard that everything else in your life comes second.
“But then comes a special person, who makes you open your eyes to love and the magical journey that you had previously closed.
“Your life goes from emptiness to beauty.”
Nick is based in Sydney and his songs have been synced to popular TV shows, achieved international streams and the radio airtime mentioned above.
He has also performed in the United States, supporting artists such as Post Malone and Travis Scott, as well as supporting Max’s gig on his last Australian tour.
All of this indicates that Nick’s star is on the rise and Devotion should help it maintain its trajectory.
