Fullmetal Alchemist Reveals New Live-Action Sequel Movie Images

New images have been released Fullmetal Alchemistthe next pair of live action movies, Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger’s Scar and Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Final Transmutation.

The set of images gives fans an exclusive look at the anime’s key characters who didn’t appear in the first one. Fullmetal Alchemist live-action film, such as Seiyo Uchino as Van Hohenheim, the Elric brothers’ mysterious father dressed in his trademark glasses and long golden hair, and Hiroshi Tachi as King Bradley, depicted in his uniform blue soldier as he draws his sword. Footage has also been released of Keisuke Watanabe as the 12th Crown Prince of Xing, Ling Yao, and Chiaki Kuriyama as Olivier Mira Armstrong, the fearsome officer who protects Amestris’ northern border.

The release of these new images comes more than four years after the first Fullmetal Alchemist live action film released in theaters in 2017. Hiromu Arakawa Fullmetal Alchemist The manga series is set in a world where alchemy is a discipline people can master, allowing individuals to deconstruct and reconstruct matter at the molecular level, as long as they follow the law of equivalent exchange. There is however a taboo in alchemy: the art of human transmutation. Edward “Ed” Elric and his younger brother, Al, learn of the devastating consequences of art when they try to revive their dead mother. Ed loses an arm and a leg and Al loses his entire body, with his soul attached to armor instead. Determined to make amends, Ed sets out on a journey alongside his brother to recover Al’s body and find the mystical Philosopher’s Stone.

Being one of the best-selling manga series in history, Fullmetal AlchemisIt has had many adaptations since its serialization began in 2001. It has been adapted into two anime television series, Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhoodthe second adaptation recreating the manga more faithfully than the first.

A live-action film adaptation of the same name was also released on November 19, 2017, bringing the first four volumes of the manga series to life. The film features Ryosuke Hamada as Ed, Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell, the Elrics’ feisty mechanic, and Dean Fujioka as flame alchemist Roy Mustang. Despite the mixed reception it received, it was announced in July 2017 that a sequel was in development. It was then revealed in March of this year that the first movie would actually get two sequel movies, with Hamada, Honda, and Fujioka reprising their roles.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger’s Scar and Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Final Transmutation are set to release on May 20 and June 24, respectively.
