Is the Jujutsu Kaisen manga the same as the anime?

With the exception of a few minor changes, the Jujutsu Kaisen the manga is identical to the anime.

In terms of anime exclusive scenes, longer battles, running gags, references, censorship, character designs, and several notable events in Episode 1, Jujutsu manga and anime Kaisen differ in some respects.

In the first episode of the anime, Yuji Itadori is bound in the middle of Gojo Satoru’s confrontation. In the manga, this incident only occurs in chapter two. Also, in the anime, Yuji’s grandfather’s death carries more weight than in the manga.

In particular, Yuji’s approach to eating Sukuna’s first finger in Episode 1 differs significantly from the manga. While some anime fans like the manga’s original storyline, others prefer the anime’s famous sequence.

There are a lot of sequences in the anime that don’t end up in the manga. For example, in the first two episodes of the anime, there are banter and conversations between the characters. There is also a storyline where Junpei confronts his bullies which does not appear in the manga.

If you are a sports anime fan Haikyuuyou might see Tohru Oikawa make an appearance in the form of a drawing.

Yuji’s desire to have a bankai of Bleachmake a rasengan of narutoand a dodonpa of dragonball is another legendary anime exclusive and reference. Other than that, the anime contains many running gags which are not seen in the manga.

On the other hand, anime fight scenes are quite long. For example, the fight from the first episode between Gojo Satoru and Yuji Itadori, as well as the fight between Sukuna and Megumi. Some scenes, like Jogo’s ransack in the restaurant where he decides to burn everyone inside, were extended.

Also, the anime has more censorship than the manga. An example is when Todo repeatedly smashes Yuji’s head against a tree. The manga featured a lot of Yuji blood, but the anime removed it. Also, anime has better language than manga.

Finally, the cast character designs are more appealing in the anime than in the manga, especially Gojo Satoru. In the anime, he is also more sassy than Sukuna in terms of personality.
