Take the New York State Bowhunting Course Online

Fall is almost officially here and beyond the excitement of school going kids and the start of high school sports and football season is the thrill of the start of hunting season in the state from New York.

If you’re interested in archery and hunting in New York State, you’ll need a license and a course. The good news is that there are options. A very popular option is the online course.

Bowhunting, like the regular hunting season, has become very popular over the past couple of years. As the COVID-19 pandemic has kept more people home and away from work, many people have returned outdoors to hunt. Bow hunting is special. It is probably the most primitive and by far the most exciting form of hunting. Watching deer in their natural habitat and being within a few feet of them is a pleasure, with or without a kill.

Archery and bowhunting season begins October 1 here in Western New York. There are a few places where you can attend a bow hunter safety course in the area. CLICK HERE to see the one closest to you. I wouldn’t wait to register. These classes fill up quickly and with the influx of new hunters, registrations are selling out faster than ever.

Good luck this season. From what I’ve seen on recce and on cameras, there’s definitely a lot of deer and good bucks traveling through the woods these days.
