The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World TV Anime Shows Its Fantasy World in Trailer, Visual


After being first reported back in april, Sorcerer Iceblade will rule the world TV anime today unveiled an all-new trailer and visual teaser showcasing the world of The Arnold Academy of Magic alongside the main staff and cast of the icy magical fantasy series based on the light novels by Nana Mikoshiba.

The main staff and cast include:

  • Director, Series Composition, Sound Director: Masahiro Takata
  • Character design: Makoto Shimojima
  • Artistic director: Ayumi Kojima (studio recreation)
  • Director of Photography: Natsumi Uchida (animo-caramel)
  • Music: Tatsuhiko Saiki, Natsumi Tabuchi
  • Animation production supervision: Yokohama Animation Lab
  • Creation of animations: cloud hearts

Sorcerer Iceblade will rule the world the novel was first published on the user-generated publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou in October 2019, with the physical edition with illustrations by Riko Korie (Unlimited fafir) picked up by Kodansha’s Light Novel Bunko imprint and edition as of June 2020.

The manga adaptation of the novel is illustrated by Norihito Sasaki and has been serialized on Kodansha’s free manga app Magazine pocket since June 2020, with the English edition published by United States. Kodansha USA describes the story as such:

The Arnold Academy of Magic is a school for the elite… and Ray White is just an ordinary guy. In fact, he doesn’t seem to have any magic skills at all and is a bit clumsy. That’s why it has nothing to do with the rumor that one of the great magicians, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the incoming class… does it?
