The founding team of Avik Soni, product designer of IED Barcelona and Ar. Sanjay Soni, one of the leading brand design consultants, believe that:

“With ‘Make-in-India’ as a call to action, it is crucial that the process-based production chain replaces the ‘Jugaad’ mindset to make Indian designs accepted worldwide. Design in India is the new buzzword. For new graduates of design schools who are familiar with basic production techniques and already know how to make their first prototype, existing manufacturing setups discourage innovations as a one-off production. Today’s market is made up of on-the-job trained staff and manufacturing houses that only cater to established design brands with large manufacturing orders. As design professionals, we understand the power of prototyping, so aim to bridge this gap by creating a transparent link between the creator and their needs. The process of it is governed by tight nondisclosure agreements and relevant intellectual property contracts to keep the idea safe.

The founding duo share a common vision for the company to become a one-of-a-kind collaboration center for the development and execution of ideas with an emphasis on promoting skills building, empowerment, design and entrepreneurship. This is what will truly resonate in building a new India with messages such as Make in India, Vocal for Local and Atamnirbhar Bharat.
