Chapter 84 of the manga saw Goku and Vegeta team up epically against Gas, the warrior Heeter whose power level was boosted to a ridiculous degree thanks to a wish from the Dragon Balls. Vegeta is shown receiving a beating on multiple pages, although the website’s official caption reads, “Vegeta appears to be facing Gas regardless of his own life, but is there anything else what’s going on here that only Goku can sense? !,” suggesting that the Saiyans might have another trick up their sleeve.
Fans will have to wait until June 21, when Chapter 85 is officially released on Manga Plus, to find out what Vegeta and Goku are planning.
The producers of Dragon Ball Super manga confirmed earlier this year that the Granolah the Survivor saga is now coming to an end, although it looks like there are still a few twists and turns to go through before it’s over. The story arc began in 2020 and introduced several new characters to the series, including the eponymous Granolah, a vengeful alien assassin whose species was wiped out by the Saiyans decades ago, as well as the Heeters, a new team of villains who once worked for Freeza. The arc also featured the debut of Vegeta’s newest and most powerful transformation, Ultra Ego, a counterpart to Goku’s Ultra Instinct angelic form who is instead influenced by the God of Destruction, Beerus.
